Job Summary
To provide remote and direct supportive care for patients requiring additional monitoring, the part-time New Jersey Licensed Safety Associate will collaborate with the healthcare team to promote quality patient care and safety, working per diem during daytime hours.
Key responsibilities
- Provide observation for patient safety and report changes in patient condition to appropriate staff
- Communicate effectively with the interprofessional team, patients, and families to ensure coordinated care
- Complete necessary documentation and reports related to patient care and safety observations
Required qualifications
- Knowledge of patient rights and principles of compassionate care
- Understanding of health information documentation methods and patient safety risks
- Completion of a Patient/Sitter Companion Program and/or De-Escalation class preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
