New Jersey Licensed Safety Associate

Job Summary

To support patient care initiatives, the per diem New Jersey Licensed Safety Associate will provide remote and at times direct supportive care, ensuring patient safety and comfort while collaborating with the healthcare team during day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and provide observation for the safety of assigned patients, reporting any changes in condition to appropriate staff
• Engage with patients, families, and the interprofessional team to deliver compassionate and coordinated care
• Complete required documentation and reports related to patient care and safety

Required qualifications

• Knowledge of patient rights and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals and groups
• Understanding of health information documentation and patient safety practices
• Completion of a Patient/Sitter Companion Program and/or De-Escalation class preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is preferred
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent is preferred
