New Jersey Licensed Safety Associate

Job Summary

To provide remote and direct supportive care for patients requiring additional monitoring, the part-time New Jersey Licensed Safety Associate will collaborate with the healthcare team, ensuring quality patient care and safety during the day shift from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Key responsibilities

• Provide observation for the safety of assigned patients and report changes in their condition to appropriate staff
• Communicate effectively with the interprofessional team, patients, and their families to ensure coordinated care
• Complete required documentation and reports accurately to maintain health information standards

Required qualifications

• Knowledge of patient rights and responsibilities in a healthcare setting
• Understanding of health information documentation methods and patient safety risks
• Completion of a Patient/Sitter Companion Program or De-Escalation class preferred
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
