New Jersey Licensed Staff Dentist

Job Summary

Seeking a part-time, fully remote New Jersey Licensed Staff Dentist, this position involves reviewing dental claims, prior authorizations, and treatment requests, while supporting Utilization Management programs in a collaborative managed care environment with a consistent 20-hour work week.

Key responsibilities

• Review dental claims, referrals, and prior authorization requests across multiple lines of business
• Participate in calibration sessions and quality improvement initiatives to ensure clinical decision-making consistency
• Conduct peer-to-peer consultations with providers regarding clinical determinations and treatment alternatives

Required qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
• Current, active, and unrestricted New Jersey dental license in good standing
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience as a practicing dentist
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, clinical guidelines, and coding standards
• Ability to review and interpret dental radiographs and treatment plans
