Job Summary
Analyzing insurance applications, the full-time New Jersey Licensed Underwriter will evaluate risk levels, determine coverage amounts and premiums, and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze applications and related documents to assess risk for insuring individuals or entities
- Review policy terms and conditions to ensure alignment with company standards and regulations
- Liaise with agents, brokers, and clients to gather information and clarify application details
Required Qualifications
- Property casualty license is required
- 2-5 years of relevant underwriting experience
- Knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and underwriting principles
- Relevant certification such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) is a plus
- High school diploma required; college or associate degree preferred
