Job Summary

Managing medical-only workers' compensation claims, the full-time remote New Jersey Workers' Compensation Adjuster will evaluate claimant eligibility, confirm coverage, and ensure timely payment or denial of benefits while working within EST or CT time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate claimant eligibility and communicate with relevant parties, including physicians and employers
• Establish compensability status through case investigation and ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements
• Oversee medical treatment coordination for injured employees and facilitate their return to work

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred or 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• 1-2 years of experience handling workers' compensation claims preferred
• Proficient in MS Excel and Word, with experience in related claims software
• Strong understanding of Workers' Compensation legal principles and claims handling practices
• Knowledge of medical terminology and injury treatments
