Job Summary
To support individuals in overcoming alcohol use, the part-time remote New Mexico Licensed Alcohol Counselor will manage client evaluations, develop personalized care plans, and facilitate coaching sessions through video and app-based communication.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate new members and formulate individualized care plans in collaboration with medical staff
- Facilitate individual coaching sessions and monitor health outcomes for members
- Document sessions in EMR systems and maintain member engagement throughout the program
Required qualifications
- Certification as an alcohol and drug counselor in New Mexico or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in alcohol use disorder or addiction treatment
- BA/BS and/or MA preferred
- Experience with EMR systems and telehealth platforms
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment programs and harm reduction models
