Job Summary
To support individuals in overcoming alcohol use disorder, the part-time New Mexico Licensed Alcohol Counselor will facilitate coaching sessions, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and develop personalized care plans, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate new members and create individualized care plans through standardized intake processes
- Facilitate individual coaching sessions via video or phone calls, ensuring engagement and support for members
- Monitor member health outcomes and coordinate care while documenting sessions in EMR and billing systems
Required qualifications
- Certified as an alcohol and drug counselor in New Mexico or equivalent certification recognized by IC&RC
- 3-5 years of experience in alcohol use disorder or addiction treatment
- BA/BS and/or MA preferred, with a background in addiction treatment or related fields
- Experience with EMR systems, Zoom conferencing, and app-based applications
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment programs and harm reduction models
