New Mexico Licensed ASL Interpreter

Job Summary

To support K-12 students through virtual services, the part-time New Mexico Licensed ASL Interpreter will provide interpreting services remotely during scheduled school hours, working independently from home.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver interpreting services for K-12 students in a virtual classroom environment
• Collaborate with educators and students to ensure effective communication and understanding
• Utilize electronic devices and software to facilitate remote interpreting sessions

Required qualifications

• Active New Mexico ASL Interpreter certification (RID preferred)
• Active New Mexico PED credential or willingness to apply
• Experience in a K-12 educational setting
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a virtual environment
• Reliable internet connection and a distraction-free workspace
