Job Summary
To provide clinical triage and advice, the part-time New Mexico Licensed Clinical Triage Nurse will manage inbound member and patient calls, ensuring appropriate care direction and documentation while working evenings in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Receives, triages, verifies, and processes requests for clinical triage and medical advice from health plan members
- Uses clinical protocols to assess advice to callers and documents discussions and information relayed
- Collaborates with providers and stakeholders to direct callers to the most appropriate venues of care based on their acuity
Required qualifications
- Associates degree
- New Mexico Board of Nursing RN License with Multi-State Compact Licensure status and at least 3 years of RN experience in a clinical setting
- Experienced analytical skills for interpreting medical records
- Experience with detailed research, coordination, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills through experience or education
