Job Summary

A company is looking for a Collections Specialist (Credit Counselor) to assist in providing outstanding service to members while managing delinquent accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact delinquent account holders to cure defaults and maintain accurate documentation of collection efforts
• Analyze financial situations of delinquent borrowers and recommend appropriate solutions
• Promote member education on credit union products and services to enhance member experience

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• One to three years of related experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of loan, deposit, and collections platforms
• Familiarity with Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcies and repossession processes
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
