Job Summary

A company is looking for a Credit Counselor (Collections Specialist) to assist members in managing debt and handling collections activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact delinquent account holders to cure defaults and maintain accurate documentation of collection efforts
• Analyze financial situations of delinquent borrowers and provide recommendations for solutions
• Promote member education and identify opportunities to promote credit union products and services

Required Qualifications

• One to three years of related experience
• High school education or GED
• Knowledge of credit and collections practices
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
• Proficiency in PC skills and MS Office products
