Job Summary
To support a laboratory in Santa Fe, NM, the full-time remote New Mexico Licensed Genetic Counselor will provide expertise in genetic testing, coordinate testing processes, and communicate results to healthcare professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise about genetic testing for clients
- Review incoming prenatal and postnatal specimens to ensure appropriate testing and essential patient information
- Coordinate prenatal molecular and non-molecular testing, including specimen management and reporting results
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling
- ABGC board certification or active candidate status
- New Mexico state license in Genetic Counseling or ability to obtain prior to start date
