Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical & Billing Coder based in New Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the appropriateness of codes and ensure they meet established program standards
• Ensure medical records are matched to codes and obtain them if necessary
• Provide clinical oversight for complex cases and serve as an additional level of QA for quality issues

Required Qualifications

• Must have a CPC, APCC, or DRG coder certification
• Payment integrity or professional bill review experience is strongly preferred
• Experience in a medical office or healthcare background is required
• Must have access to personal billing references/engine
• Extensive knowledge of New Mexico billing resources is a plus
