Job Summary

Responsible for creating an exceptional member experience, the remote New Mexico Licensed Mortgage Loan Officer will originate long-term mortgage loans, conduct pre-qualification interviews, and manage application pipelines while ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Interview clients and process preliminary documentation for mortgage and home equity loan requests
• Discuss loan alternatives and credit criteria to elicit positive responses from members
• Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with members and industry professionals

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred
• Current NMLS license or ability to obtain one
• Three to five years of experience with mortgage and home equity loans preferred
• Strong understanding of credit analysis and mortgage underwriting guidelines
• Proficient with mortgage products, regulations, and processes for Conventional, FHA, and VA loans
