Job Summary
To support cancer data management efforts, the full-time remote New Mexico Licensed Oncology Data Specialist will abstract newly diagnosed cancer cases, assist with case identification, and perform quality control procedures on data while maintaining database records and submitting reports to registries.
Key responsibilities
- Abstract newly diagnosed cancer cases and assist with case identification
- Perform quality control procedures on oncology data and respond to data inquiries
- Maintain database records and extract data for reporting to state and central registries
Required qualifications
- Completion of a college-level curriculum in Cancer Data Management or equivalent education/experience
- Upon hire, certification as a National Oncology Data Specialist from the National Cancer Registrars Association
