Job Summary
To support the Department of Veterans Affairs, the full-time New Mexico Licensed Pharmacy Technician will manage inbound pharmacy calls, process prescription requests, and resolve medication-related inquiries in a remote environment from an approved alternate worksite within 50 miles of the Albuquerque VA facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and submit patient requests for new prescriptions and renewals accurately and timely
- Answer calls from patients and healthcare professionals, utilizing computerized prescription profiles to respond to inquiries
- Document interactions and maintain compliance with national performance metrics for inbound call management
Required Qualifications
- Active national certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or ExCPT) that remains current throughout employment
- Graduate of an academic pharmacy technician training program
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one year of customer service-related experience
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
