Job Summary

To support student learning and engagement, the part-time New Mexico Licensed Science Instructor will teach synchronous online courses, plan instruction, and ensure compliance with college policies while working remotely from approved locations.

Key responsibilities

• Teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams, planning and organizing instruction to maximize student learning
• Maintain accurate student records and comply with accreditation and institutional policies
• Stay current in the subject matter through professional development and connect the subject with related fields

Required qualifications

• Appropriate credential, license, or certification for teaching science
• Official transcripts of a bachelor's (or higher) degree and relevant teaching experience
• At least three years of experience in the respective field or two years of teaching experience
• Preferred experience in synchronous online teaching and advanced subject matter expertise
• Good working knowledge of MS Office applications and learning technologies such as Canvas
