New Student Advisor

Job Summary

Supporting students at the beginning of their educational journey, the full-time remote New Student Advisor will provide academic guidance, engage with learners to address inquiries, and collaborate on retention strategies to enhance student success.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic planning and support, assisting learners with course navigation and academic policies
• Engage with students as a primary point of contact for non-academic inquiries via various communication channels
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop retention initiatives and identify at-risk learners to enhance their academic success

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Proficient in time management and able to handle competing priorities
• Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English
• Computer literacy and basic technical skills to navigate required technology
• Experience in customer service or a related role is preferred
