New York Contract Attorney

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Temporary Contract Attorney specializing in Arbitration for a remote project.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft motions related to arbitration awards, including motions to vacate and stay confirmation
• Prepare reply briefs on vacatur/stay motions and additional stay applications as needed
• Revise drafts based on feedback from lead counsel and clients

Required Qualifications

• Admission to practice in New York
• Strong familiarity with New York state and/or federal civil procedure
• Demonstrated experience with arbitration proceedings and related motion practice
• Ability to work independently on complex legal matters
• Excellent legal research and drafting skills
