New York CPA Accounting Director

Job Summary

Seeking a dynamic, people-centric New York CPA Accounting Director, this full-time hybrid role will manage corporate accounting operations, lead a team of accounting professionals, and collaborate across departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the accounting team, driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring effective accounting operations across multiple subsidiaries
• Oversee complex accounting areas, including revenue recognition and consolidations, while managing relationships with external auditors
• Foster cross-functional collaboration to align financial strategies with organizational objectives and communicate financial insights to senior leadership

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA highly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in both pre-IPO and public company environments
• Experience managing accounting across multiple legal entities, including intercompany transactions and multi-currency consolidations
• Strong command of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and internal controls/SOX compliance
• Proficiency with NetSuite and familiarity with AI-driven automation tools such as Claude Cowork and/or Code preferred
