New York CPA Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Leading the accounting team, the full-time Senior Accounting Manager will oversee the month-end close process for operational expenses, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP while managing accounts payable operations and mentoring direct reports in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Support the month-end close process by managing vendor expense analyses, accrual schedules, and compliance with accounting standards
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, setting clear expectations for professional growth and performance
• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice coding, vendor onboarding, and compliance with corporate policies

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2-3+ years in a management role
• CPA certification is required
• Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, including accrual accounting and lease accounting (ASC 842)
• Proficiency in NetSuite; experience with Ramp and/or Navan is preferred
• Public accounting experience and familiarity with SaaS or technology industries are preferred
