New York CPA Finance Consultant

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced New York CPA Finance Consultant, this part-time contract role will provide independent financial oversight, strengthen financial systems, and support strategic decision-making for a nonprofit organization, working remotely alongside leadership and finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive financial review to establish a shared financial baseline and provide a Financial Assessment Report with recommendations
• Offer ongoing advisory support, including budget reviews, financial forecasting, and cash flow management, approximately 8 hours every two months
• Advise on financial systems and processes to enhance consistency, transparency, and audit readiness across the organization

Required qualifications

• Active CPA license or equivalent financial certification
• Proven experience in nonprofit financial management and oversight
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting practices
• Experience with grant financial management and compliance
• Ability to develop financial templates and standardized operating procedures
