New York CPA Manager
Job Summary
To support a growing outsourced accounting practice, the permanent Senior Accountant and Manager - SEC will oversee staff accountants, prepare SEC audits and reviews, and manage monthly financial closings in a flexible work environment based in New York, NY.
Key responsibilities
- Assist clients and oversee the work of Staff Accountants
- Prepare for SEC audits and reviews, including financial statement preparation and disclosures
- Develop and maintain client relationships while improving financial processes and internal controls
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience at a PCAOB Accounting Firm
- Knowledge of SEC accounting and working knowledge of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
- Expertise with accounting standards such as ASC 606, 470, 480, 805, 810, 815, 842 is highly preferred
