New York CPA Technical Accounting Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Technical Accounting Manager to serve as an in-house expert on complex accounting matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead revenue recognition processes, including contract reviews and maintaining ASC 606 policies
• Advise on accounting implications of new arrangements and support execution across accounting operations
• Research complex transactions and prepare audit-ready technical memos, while tracking emerging FASB standards

Required Qualifications

• CPA with 5-8 years of experience; Big 4 background preferred
• Deep expertise in ASC 606, especially in multi-element SaaS and services arrangements
• Proven ability to independently research accounting guidance and produce clear memos
• Prior experience in a high-growth software company is preferred
• Willingness to support various aspects of accounting as needs arise
