Job Summary
To support a compliant and high-quality provider network, the full-time Credentialing Specialist will coordinate credentialing and recredentialing activities, maintain accurate records, and manage assigned cases in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate credentialing for organizational and institutional providers, ensuring compliance with NYS DOH, CMS, and NCQA standards
- Review submissions for completeness and accuracy, track case statuses, and document actions taken
- Prepare Credentialing Committee agendas, compliance reports, and assist with delegation oversight audits
Required qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in healthcare credentialing, enrollment, or managed care operations (preferred)
- Strong Excel skills, including proficiency with formulas, pivot tables, and tracking
- High attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Bachelor's degree preferred; NAMSS or related credentialing training is a plus
