New York Data Governance Architect

Job Summary

Leading the design and implementation of enterprise data governance capabilities, the contract Databricks Data Governance Architect will work remotely to establish governance frameworks using Databricks and Microsoft Purview while mentoring internal teams and driving best practices across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement enterprise data governance solutions leveraging Databricks Unity Catalog and Microsoft Purview
• Lead the rollout of governance capabilities including data cataloging, classification, lineage, and metadata management
• Establish governance standards, processes, and controls to ensure data quality, compliance, and security

Required qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Databricks and Microsoft Purview
• Proven experience implementing enterprise data governance programs and frameworks
• Deep expertise with Databricks Unity Catalog, metadata management, and data lineage
• Strong experience configuring and administering Microsoft Purview
• Experience designing data governance architectures in cloud environments
