New York Finance Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director/Senior Director of Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic financial business partner to the Publisher and executive team, providing financial analysis and recommendations
• Prepare budgets, track performance, analyze variances, and drive initiatives to optimize revenue and profitability
• Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior executives, ensuring adherence to financial policies and controls

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred
• 10+ years of progressive financial experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in publishing, entertainment, or media
• Experience as a strategic financial business partner advising senior executives
• Strong understanding of publishing industry economics, including revenue recognition and inventory management
• Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and advanced Excel skills
