New York HR Consultant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Fractional HR Specialist to provide part-time human resources support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide HR compliance guidance related to federal, state, and local employment laws
• Advise leadership on employee relations matters, including performance management and terminations
• Review and update HR policies, employee handbooks, and support onboarding and offboarding processes

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience
• Experience supporting nonprofits or small organizations
• Strong knowledge of NYS and federal employment law
• Ability to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality
• Experience in a fractional, consulting, or interim HR capacity is strongly preferred
