New York Intake Advocate

Job Summary

To support New York residents facing utility service challenges, the full-time Intake Associate & Community Advocate will provide client intake and case coordination, engage in community outreach, and conduct research while working remotely within New York State.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for residents seeking assistance with utility-related concerns and provide case coordination
• Participate in workshops and community events to promote consumer rights and available assistance programs
• Conduct research and assist with documentation for advocacy materials and special projects

Required Qualifications

• Strong writing, analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Empathy and a commitment to serving vulnerable communities
• Experience in client intake, case management, or community advocacy preferred
