Job Summary

Supporting the Bureau's tobacco control strategy, the full-time New York Licensed Assistant Director of Tobacco Programs will assist in developing and executing community engagement strategies, overseeing research and program evaluation, and managing financial administration in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and execution of a comprehensive equity-based tobacco control strategy
  • Oversee community engagement strategies and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders
  • Support research and evaluation activities, including program evaluation and community input processes
Required qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in public health or a related field with at least 5 years of experience
  • Experience with strategic planning, program monitoring, and public health research
  • Proficiency in budget management, contracts, and fundraising activities
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with community partners and government agencies
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite
