Job Summary
Seeking a strategic New York Licensed Assistant General Counsel, this full-time hybrid position will manage complex mergers, acquisitions, and financing transactions while providing legal guidance to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead legal efforts for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships from structuring to post-closing integration
- Advise on complex financing activities, including securitizations and credit facilities, ensuring compliance with U.S. securities laws
- Develop scalable legal processes and mentor junior legal professionals to enhance the legal team's effectiveness
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
- 12+ years of corporate law experience, including significant M&A and financing transaction expertise
- Strong knowledge of U.S. securities law and public company disclosure obligations
- Proven ability to advise senior leadership on complex legal and governance matters
- Experience managing outside counsel and collaborating across multiple departments
