New York Licensed Associate Attorney

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Attorney - Tax Strategy, Optimization & Controversy Litigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support litigation efforts in Federal Refunds, Employee Retention Credit (ERC) disputes, and other tax controversy matters
• Engage with the Department of Justice (DOJ), IRS, and other agencies in high-stakes tax litigation
• Advise clients on tax mitigation structures, corporate tax planning, and asset protection strategies

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax law, corporate law, M&A, asset protection, or tax controversy litigation
• Proven litigation experience, particularly in Federal Refunds and ERC disputes
• Prior experience with the Department of Justice (DOJ) is preferred
• Admission to a U.S. state bar (California preferred but not required)
