Job Summary
Managing a diverse caseload from inception through resolution, the full-time New York Licensed Associate Attorney in General Liability - Insurance Defense will provide strategic legal counsel, represent clients in court and arbitrations, and perform extensive legal research and drafting.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct legal analysis of claims and manage filing and discovery processes
- Represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions while preparing for trials
- Collaborate with partners and clients to deliver strategic legal advice and meet billable hour requirements
Required qualifications:
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in New York; additional bar admissions are a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant practice area
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Experience with administrative proceedings, depositions, and mediations
