New York Licensed Associate General Counsel

Job Summary

As the first New York Licensed Associate General Counsel in a full-time remote position, the successful candidate will manage the commercial contracts function, handle diverse legal matters across the business, and develop scalable legal processes while advising various departments on legal risks and opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and close enterprise SaaS/AI agreements and relevant addenda
• Build and maintain contract templates and a negotiation playbook for the sales team
• Manage day-to-day privacy compliance and data governance strategy

Required qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with active state bar membership in good standing
• 4-8 years of experience, including 2-3 years at an Am Law 100 law firm in transactional/commercial practice
• Deep expertise in commercial contract drafting and negotiation of complex deals
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands
• Clear and direct communicator, proficient in plain language
