Job Summary
Supporting product development and commercial initiatives, the temporary Interim Counsel - Payments will advise on regulatory and commercial implications for money transmission and virtual currency, while drafting and negotiating complex agreements.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on regulatory, risk, and commercial implications for money transmission and virtual currency initiatives
- Draft, structure, and negotiate complex commercial and technology agreements
- Collaborate with the Commercial and Payments legal team on product development initiatives
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in payments, product development, and/or financial services
- Subject matter expertise in state money transmission licensing (MTL) and virtual currency frameworks
- Experience with various legal platforms including CLM, research, and AI tools
