New York Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Care Review Clinician II to support their Utilization Management team in a remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete 15-20 behavioral health service authorizations per day
• Review prior authorization and inpatient behavioral health requests for medical necessity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote coordinated care

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted license as a Behavioral Health Clinician (LMSW or LMHC required)
• At least 3 years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting
• Minimum of 1 year in a Utilization Management role
• Prior experience with managed healthcare plans (MHP) preferred
• Strong knowledge of LOCUS, CaLOCUS, LOCADTR, and MCG criteria
