Job Summary

To support the spiritual needs of patients and staff, the part-time Per Diem Chaplain will provide on-call coverage primarily on weeknights and may also cover weekends and holidays, addressing spiritual, religious, and emotional needs while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams at various Manhattan hospitals.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate mastery in chaplaincy knowledge and skills
• Foster effective communication with diverse patients, family members, and staff
• Conduct visits across designated hospital floors and ambulatory settings to assess and address spiritual and religious needs

Required qualifications

• Master's degree preferred
• Successful completion of at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education in an accredited program
• Experience as a spiritual care provider in a healthcare setting
