New York Licensed Child Psychiatrist

Job Summary

To support a growing virtual Behavioral Health Program, a part-time New York Licensed Child Psychiatrist will diagnose and assess mental health disorders in pediatric and adolescent patients, provide medication management and counseling, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, all while working remotely for 20 hours or more per week.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and assess mental/behavioral health disorders and formulate treatment plans
• Prescribe medications and provide both medication management and counseling to patients
• Collaborate with therapists and medical leadership to discuss and modify patient treatment plans

Required qualifications

• MD/DO with active New York medical license and valid DEA license
• Board eligible or board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry
• Experience in psychopharmacology management
• Valid Medicaid number in New York preferred
• Experience working specifically with children and adolescents
