Job Summary

A company is looking for a Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster with New York jurisdictional knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a capped caseload of workers' compensation claims from inception to resolution, ensuring compliance with procedures and regulations
• Ensure adherence to New York workers' compensation laws, including timely filing and benefit payment compliance
• Negotiate settlements of claims and maintain accurate records in the claims management system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of workers' compensation claims handling experience
• Experience with New York jurisdictional regulations and knowledge of the New York State Workers' Compensation Board rules
• High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree or relevant certifications (e.g., WCCP, AIC) is a plus
• Strong understanding of workers' compensation claims processes and legal requirements in New York
• Experience with Public Entity claims management is preferred
