Job Summary

Seeking a New York Licensed Claims Counsel, the full-time position offers remote or hybrid work options and involves managing complex claims and coverage matters, providing insurance coverage analysis, and developing risk assessment strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage a claims caseload from claim notification through resolution
• Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages issues for various professional liability matters
• Draft reservation of rights and coverage denial letters while coordinating with outside counsel

Required Qualifications

• JD from an accredited Law School
• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 5+ years of legal practice experience in the insurance area
• Demonstrated experience handling complex insurance claims and evaluating coverage issues
• Experience drafting coverage opinions and reservation of rights letters is strongly preferred
