Job Summary
Managing a capped caseload of workers' compensation claims, the full-time New York Licensed Claims Examiner will ensure compliance with New York regulations and processes, negotiate settlements, and maintain accurate records while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Independently handle a capped caseload of workers' compensation claims from inception to resolution
- Ensure compliance with New York workers' compensation laws and timely filing of reports
- Negotiate settlements of claims within designated authority to achieve resolution
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of workers' compensation claims handling experience
- Experience with New York jurisdictional regulations and knowledge of New York State Workers' Compensation Board rules
- High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree or relevant certifications (e.g., WCCP, AIC) is a plus
- Strong understanding of workers' compensation claims processes and legal requirements in New York
- Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite
