New York Licensed Claims Examiner

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time New York Licensed Claims Examiner will manage complex New York Labor Law general liability claims, maintain knowledge of relevant statutes, and provide updates to stakeholders, with the potential for remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex New York Labor Law general liability claims and third-party property and bodily injury
• Investigate claims, determine coverage, and draft coverage position letters
• Participate in litigation activities and negotiate settlements while managing reserves

Required qualifications

• At least 5+ years of relevant experience
• Must maintain current and valid adjuster license(s)
• Strong working knowledge of insurance law(s) and construction safety regulation
• Experience working for a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) company is a plus
