New York Licensed Claims Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Commercial Claims & Litigation Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and evaluate coverage, liability, and resolution strategies
• Select and collaborate with defense counsel in handling lawsuits
• Manage litigation expenses and ensure compliance with billing guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6 years of related experience, or an Associate degree with 8 years of experience, or a high school diploma with 10 years of experience
• Strong knowledge in tort/contract law and complex commercial claims handling
• Preferred litigation claim handling experience
• Completion of relevant designations (AIC, CPCU, SCLA, CIC) preferred
• Appropriate state license and a valid driver's license required
