New York Licensed Claims Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing claims team, the fully remote New York Licensed Claims Specialist will conduct detailed analyses of complex construction claims, recommend settlement strategies, and interact with various parties involved in the claims process.

Key responsibilities

• Independently analyze claims exposure and recommend appropriate settlement strategies
• Create reservation of rights and coverage denial letters, negotiating settlements directly with involved parties
• Document and communicate claim activity in a timely and efficient manner while coaching and mentoring lower-level adjusters

Required qualifications

• High school diploma
• 7 or more years of related claims experience with a proven track record in handling complex claims
• Active adjuster's licenses in all states where claims are managed
• Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices
• Experience with relevant claims and business software
