Job Summary
Facilitating clinical documentation improvement, the full-time New York Licensed Clinical Document Specialist will engage with healthcare teams to enhance documentation accuracy and compliance while maximizing revenue in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitates modifications in clinical documentation to ensure accurate representation of medical conditions for inpatient encounters
- Provides oversight and guidance to physicians and medical teams on documentation standards and reimbursement opportunities
- Presents findings to stakeholders and educates peers on documentation improvement and performance metrics
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or a relevant clinical discipline with 5 years of inpatient clinical experience
- Current New York State Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Medical Doctor license upon hire
- Knowledge of complex disease processes and clinical practice guidelines
- Preferred experience with EPARC, eRecord, HDM, and SharePoint
- Clinical Documentation Specialist (CDS) or Clinical Documentation Improvement Professional (CDIP) certification preferred upon hire
