New York Licensed Commercial Counsel

Job Summary

To support the growth of SpendHound, the full-time, remote New York Licensed Commercial Counsel will negotiate, execute, and close deals while enhancing contract processes and collaborating with commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Guide SpendHound commercial teams through the contract lifecycle, from initiation to closing
• Develop novel contracting frameworks and improve contract management processes
• Evaluate legal courses of action to align with company and business unit needs

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent from a top law school and a valid New York license to practice law
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in drafting and negotiating business contracts
• Strong passion for commercial contracts and contract negotiation
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Experience in a SaaS environment is preferred
