New York Licensed Commercial Counsel
Job Summary
To support a growing legal team, a New York Licensed Commercial Counsel will structure, draft, and review software agreements and contracts with vendors, working full-time in a flexible location while collaborating with various internal teams to manage legal risks and formulate policies.
Key responsibilities
- Structure, draft, and review SaaS agreements and Data Protection Agreements with clients and contracts with strategic partners
- Collaborate with internal business teams to identify and manage legal risks across product, marketing, and business initiatives
- Engage in customer-facing communication regarding contracts and help formulate legal policy as the organization matures
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree and qualified to practice law in New York or the state of residence
- At least four years of commercial legal experience
- Experience in drafting and negotiating SaaS and technology agreements
- A strong business-friendly approach with practical recommendations under tight deadlines
- Empathetic and solutions-oriented mindset; Adtech/Martech experience is a plus
