Job Summary
Seeking a New York Licensed Contracts Manager, the full-time remote legal professional will manage law firm engagement letters, outside counsel contracting, and contract lifecycle management while collaborating with in-house attorneys and legal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Review, draft, redline, negotiate, and finalize engagement letters and legal services contracts
- Serve as the primary contact for contract negotiations with external law firms and internal legal teams
- Interpret legal risks and provide recommendations on contract language and negotiation strategies
Required qualifications
- JD and active bar membership preferred
- 5+ years of experience negotiating contracts and legal services agreements
- Experience with law firms, legal operations, or corporate legal departments
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead negotiations
- Experience with CLM platforms and workflow tools
