New York Licensed Controller

Job Summary

To support a growing finance function, the full-time New York Licensed Controller will manage the accounting operations, drive accurate financial reporting, and build a scalable accounting team while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Drive accurate, timely monthly and quarterly close, maintaining the integrity of the company's books in accordance with US GAAP
• Build and scale the accounting team with a focus on AI-native tooling and automated workflows
• Prepare internal financial statements and management reporting packages for finance and company leadership

Required qualifications

• CPA with Big Four audit experience strongly preferred
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a controller or senior accounting leadership role in a venture-backed SaaS company
• Experience managing the company-side audit process, with a strong plus for leading a first financial statement audit
• Experience with sales tax compliance and multistate SaaS obligations
• Multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation experience, including international subsidiaries
